TEAM SIGN UP DESCRIPTIONS
Tent Captain Morning 6am-noon
Preferably a returning parent or member of the hospitality committee. This person will be in charge of site set up which includes tents, tarps, tables, trash bins, water coolers and chairs etc. They will have breakfast and snacks set up for the rowers upon their arrival to the site, usually about 7:30am. There will be an opening checklist as well as a food list for each week located on the door of the trailer. Depending on the rowers schedule we may need lunch set up by 11. Tent captain is asked to get coffee for coaches and parents on their way to the regatta (cost to be reimbursed by the team)
Tent opener 6am-noon
We will need 2 additional parents to help the captain set up the site and prepare food. They will making sure that the food stays replenished and the rowers have what they need. Please monitor that rowers are keeping the site clean. (We are not there to clean up after them)
Tent captain Afternoon - 11:30 - Close
Preferably a returning parent or a hospitality committee member. Continue with the lunch service, a checklist will be provided. Facilitate the clean up of the site and pack the trailer. We need to ensure that the trailer is packed neatly so that it makes the following weeks set up easier.
Tent Closer 12-close
We will need 2 additional parents to assist the tent captain with lunch service. Monitor the site and ensure that the rowers are cleaning up their own trash. (Again, we are not there to clean up after them)
Help to pack up the site at the end of the regatta and get the trailer packed neatly.
Grill master
This job will only be needed at Norfolk and Stotesbury Regattas. Parent will be in charge of grilling breakfast/lunch.
Volunteer spots for parents not able to attend Regattas
Shopper
3 shoppers each week are needed. Parent will shop for food supplies and get them to the Baker's home by 7pm Friday night. Shopping may include supplies from Costco/Grocery Store as well as cleaning and cutting up fruits and veggies. Shopping lists will be provided by the Hospitality Committee no later than Wednesday night. Please save all receipts and submit to the treasurer for reimbursement.
Salad and dessert donations
(To be delivered to the Craig’s home Friday night by 7pm) We will need 3 parents to donate salads (non mayo). These may be bought or homemade each week and are to supplement lunch.
We will need 3 parents to donate a baked good or sweet treat for the rowers to enjoy at the end of the Regatta each week.
Sunday trailer clean up
The trailer and leftover food will need cleaned up on each Sunday after the Regatta. The trailer is located at the Alford farm off of Alford Road in Ashburn (close to the school). This is everything from trash and food clean up to washing tarps after regattas when it rains. If we can get volunteers, I expect this to take no longer than 2 hours.
Trailer transport
Preferably 2 parents each week, one to take to the Regatta at 5am and the second to pull it home, usually about 5pm. (Times vary depending on the regatta). Parents car should have a trailer hitch and parent should be comfortable maneuvering a 15 foot trailer.
