2019 SUMMER ROWING CAMP
Novice Rowers
Experienced Rowers
All participants must be able to pass a swim test that consists of 15 minutes of treading water and a 100 yard swim. The test will be administered on the first day of camp.
The Rowing Camp will take place at Algonkian Regional Park, located at 47001 Fairway Drive, Sterling, VA 20165. Transportation to and from the rowing site is not provided and the responsibility of each participant.
- Learn the fundamentals of rowing from area college coaches
- Experience the feeling of an 8 gliding though the water
- Compete in inner squad races
Experienced Rowers
- Work on technique
- Break down the stroke
- Catch timing and release
- Race against other experienced rowers
- . . . and best of all, water time
