Briar Woods High School Athletics Registration Requirements

Before you can participate in any BWHS Crew official practices and regattas, you must fulfill three requirements from the Briar Woods Athletic Department: the Athletics Physical, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Test and the online Briar Woods Athletic Department registration. 

1. Athletics Physical. 
   ​You complete your Athletics Physical.
   • The physical must be signed by a doctor and dated after May 1 of the previous school year.
   • You can email your physicals to [email protected] or drop off at the Briar Woods office, between 8:30 am & 4pm Monday-Friday. 
   • Make sure you indicate on the physical that this is for the Spring Crew team (even if when signing up for Winter Conditioning). 
2. Sudden Cardiac Arrest Test. 
   Your athlete must complete the “sudden cardiac arrest” test and upload the completion certificate when they register with the Briar Woods Athletics Department. To complete the test:
   1.    2. Create an account.  When selecting the sport, click 'View all Sports (26)', and Crew will show up on the list. 
   3. Go to "Courses" on the top bar.
   4. Look for "Sudden Cardiac Arrest": 
   5. Click on the blue "Order Course" box
   6. Click on "Checkout" (there is no cost)
   7. Check the "agree NFHS refund policy" box and click continue
   8. Click "Go to my courses" on the left side
   9. It will take about 15 minutes to take the test, when finished save a copy of the completion certificate.  You will need to upload this when you complete your Briar Woods Athletic registration.
3. BWHS Athletic Registration. 
   1. Finally must complete your online registration on the Briar Woods Athletic website: https://bwhs-ar.rschooltoday.com/?q=node/19.  If this is your first time on the site, you will need to create an account.
   2. After creating an account, 'Register' your student, from your Account page.   
   3. When you get to the 'Activity' Page, make sure to check 'Crew' under the Spring Season of the current school year, as well as upload the "sudden cardiac arrest" test. 

Please complete this process at least one week prior to the official start of BWHS Crew practice and/or conditioning.  

You will not be able to start training until everything is completed.
